Project for Decorate to Celebrate

I didn't realize how long it's been since I last posted!  Boy have I been busy!

Hello and welcome! I'm so excited to have been invited as a guest designer for Decorate To Celebrate today! Decorate To Celebrate is a challenge blog dedicated to showcasing party decorations for all of your celebrations. Each challenge runs for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to join in on the fun! To see all of the designer's creations and to enter your own project, please click here:  http://decoratetocelebrate.blogspot.com

The theme for this challenge is Birthday (for an adult).  What could be more adult than champagne?   For my project I made a party invitation:

This first view shows the champagne bottle in a crock.
The next view shows the bottle out of the crock.
Then I removed the ribbon so the invitation can be opened.

Now the invitation is opened and the recipient is invited to pull the string hanging from the bottom of the bottle.

The champagne bottle has popped its cork!

I had a lot of fun making this invitation.  The champagne bottle is a  Mirkwood Designs template.  I used double tack to add the gold accents to the bottle.  I used Spellbinders square templates to cut out the labels and the Celebrate stamp is a Just Rite stamp.  The invite information stamp is a Stampcraft stamp called party invite.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my project. I hope you'll hop over to Decorate To Celebrate  http://decoratetocelebrate.blogspot.com  to enter your party decoration for your next birthday party celebrating a favorite grown-up in your life!

I would love it if you would become a follower, too!  Thanks for taking the time to visit!
